Where do we come from?
GOZART has been set up in order to promote the production of
the art work of international arts in the UK, through tours,
festivals and professional art development in order to create
cultural awareness and positive cultural relations.
The mixing of indigenous European and African cultural elements
in Latin America has brought into being a huge diversity of
artistic traditions and crafts. While some indigenous forms
and techniques have remained intact since the pre-Hispanic
era, other ancient traditions have received modern influences,
and have evolved into exciting and innovative forms.
It is hoped that these programs will further stimulate the
growing interest in the richness and vitality of Latin American
culture and contribute to the understanding and enjoyment
of the art from this continent.
Our objectives are to support a wide range of cultural activities
and creative practices, and to encourage new collaborative
work.
Through well-designed and innovative cultural projects local-global
links can be shared and celebrated, providing enjoyment, increase
understanding, learning while promoting the promotion of community
cohesion.
Where are we going?
The aims of
GOZART are to:
• promote the intangible heritage through such forms
of expression as dance, music, games, rituals, customs and
other arts
• seek for innovative art forms which break the traditional
established barriers
• support the activities of its members and develop
partnerships with non-governmental organizations working in
the areas of arts, folklore and cultural heritage
• serve the cause of peace through meeting the above
aims.
The objectives
of GOZART are to:
• promote an understanding of non-Western cultural forms,
both contemporary and historic, as an art expression to the
UK audience
• create inspiring opportunities through our project
for people of all ages, abilities and cultural backgrounds
• promote opportunities for the expression of cultural
identities
• stimulate the imagination and creativity of our audiences
• promote partnership and bring ‘added value’
by collaborating with other agencies and groups
We are planning to achieve a long-term development for our
arts organization to encourage and promote new artwork within
UK.
We believe the
arts to be a tool to change people’s lives and by engaging
in these cultural activities we will increase awareness of
cultural diversity in the arts.
